BOILD HAM
I found the recipe for this delicious dish in the book „ Meine kleine vegane Metzgerei“ written by SEBASTIEN KARDINAL and change it for my taste.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 ml soy milk without sugar
- 5 g Pimento de la Vera ( smoked paprika)
- 1 teaspoon vegetable stock powder
- 1-2 teaspoons salt
- 15 g nutritionale yeast
- 5 g guar flour
- 50 ml sunflower oil
- 50 g light miso
- 200 g seitan powder
PREPARATION
- Mix Soy milk with Pimento, vegetable stock powder, salt, yeast and guar flour in a pot
- Bring it to the boil
- Let it simmer UNDER CONSTANT STIRING until the mixture thickens
- Stir in oil and miso
- Remove from the stove
- Let it cool down for 15 minutes
- Add seitan powder and knead it until you have a smooth and flexible dough (by hand or by kitchen machine)
- Form a roll
- Wrapp the roll loosely in cling film
- Steam for at least 1 hour
- Remove the cling film
- Let it cool down completely
- Slice the ham and enjoy !
