ZEBRA MUFFINS
vegan, quick and easy to make. Especially children love them, but also grownups can´t resist them. These muffins are simply delicious.
INGREDIENTS
for the light dough
- 125 g flour
- 60 g brown sugar
- 8 g Weinstein baking powder ( cream of tartar or any other vegan baking powder )
- Mark of ½ vanilla pod
- 55 ml sunflower oil
- 100 ml soy milk without sugar
- 50 ml sparkling mineral water
for the dark dough
- 100 g flour
- 70 g brown sugar
- 15 g cocoa
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 40 ml sunflower oil
- 135 ml sparkling mineral water
- ½ tablespoon vinegar
- dash lemon juice
PREPARATION
- preheat the oven to 180° C
- Put paper forms in a muffin plate
- light dough:
- mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
- mix in all the liquid ingredients little by little
- dark dough:
- mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
- mix in all the liquid ingredients little by little
- give alternatly 1 tablespoon light and dark dough into the muffin forms
- optional: slightly comb through the dough with a folk to get the „Zebra-Effect“.
- Bake them for 15-20 minutes (test for doneness with a toothpick )
- let them cool down
