This vegan delicacy tastes like Xmas, I cant get enough of it. I’m excited if you feel the same.

INGREDIENTS

• 1000 g apples with paring (grated)
• 150 g hazelnuts (halved)
• 250 g raisins
• 1 tablespoon cinnamon
• 1 tablespoon cloves spice
• 1 tablespoon ginger bread spice
• 100 ml rum
• 250 g brown sugar
• 2 tablespoons cacao
• 500 g spelt flour (wholemeal)
• 17 g Weinstein baking powder ( cream of tartar or any other vegan baking powder )
• dash salt

PREPARATION

• Mix all ingredients (EXCEPT flour, baking powder and salt ) in a bowl
• Let it steep at least for 2 hours
• Preheat the oven to 175° C
• Put a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray
• Mix flour with baking powder and salt
• Add to the apple mixtur
• Spread the dough on the baking tray
• Bake for 45 minutes
• Let it cool down
• Cut in pieces
