TARTE FLAMBEE
A vegan variation of this delicacy from Alsace.
INGREDIENTS (for 2 tarte flambee)
Dough
- 21 g yeast
- 50 ml lukewarm water
- 375 g spelt flour wholemeal
- 1 ½ teesponns salt
- 150 ml warm soy milk without sugar
- 4 tablespoons oil
cream
- 150 ml oats cream cuisine (I took the cuisine from Alnatura, look at the picture on the end of this blog entry)
- salt
- pepper
- garlic
for the filling
- vegetable as you want (I took asparagus and onions)
- smoked tofu
- vegan cheese
PREPARATION
dough
- Stir water with yeast
- Mix it with all other ingredients
- Knead it till you get a smooth dough
- Let it rest for 1 hour
further course of action
- Preheat the oven to 200°C
- Put 2 pieces of bakingpaper on 2 baking trays
- Cut the Tofu in thin stripes
- Roast the tofu gently till it is crispy
- Cut the dough in half
- Roll out each piece of dough
- Put it on the baking tray
- Mix all ingredients for the cream
- Spread the cream on the dough
- Apply the vegetables and the tofu on the dough
- Dredge with cheese
- Bake for 15 minutes
- Enjoy it while it’s warm
