SOY MILK BUNS
vegan softest wholemeal breakfast dream
INGREDIENTS (for 8 buns)
- 200 ml lukewarm soy milk
- 15 g yeast
- 500 g spelt flour wholemeal
- 10 g salt
- 70 g brown sugar
- 100 g soy yoghurt without sugar
- 100 g vegan butter
PREPARATION
- Crumble the yeast in the milk and let it rest for 10 minutes
- Mix the flour with salt and sugar in the bowl of your kitchen machine
- Add the yeast-milk mixtur and the yoghurt to it
- Knead it for 10 minutes
- Admix the butter ( little pieces)
- Knead it for another 5 minutes
- Cover it with a kitchen towel
- Place the dough for 2 hours in a warm place and allow it to expand to about double its volume.
- Put a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray
- Flour the worktop
- Put the dough on it and divide it in 8 portions
- Form a bun out of each portion
- Put them on the baking tray and let them raise for another 45 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 200° C
- Carve the buns and brush with soy milk
- Bake for 10 minutes
- Let them cool down
- Enjoy pure or with butter and/or jam!
