RED CURRANT PIE
Vegan pie, quickly made, little effort and tasted simply delicious.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 g spelt flour ( wholemeal)
- 150 g birch sugar
- 16 g Weinstein baking powder ( cream of tartar or any other vegan baking powder )
- dash salt
- 90 ml sunflower oil
- 200 ml soy milk without sugar
- 100 ml sparkling mineral water
- 150 – 200 g red currant
- powdered sugar for spreading the pie
PREPARATION
- Preheat the oven to 180° C
- Put a sheet of baking paper on a baking tray
- Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl
- Mix in all the liquid ingredients little by little
- Put the dough on the baking tray
- Spread the currants over the dough
- Bake it for 20-25 minutes (test for doneness with a toothpick )
- Let it totally cool down
- Spread with powdered sugar
- Cut in pieces
- Enjoy!
