ROSE SYRUP
This is ( mixed with water or sparkling wine ) a perfect vegan summer drink. It is also ideal for ice cream
INGREDIENTS
- 4-5 handfull untreated rose petals
- 1000 ml water
- 1000 g birch sugar
- 1 teaspoon citric acid
PREPARATION
- Souse the rose petals with boiling water
- Let it come to a boil
- Remove from the oven
- Let it rest COVERED for 15 minutes
- Strain it
- Reduce the stock with sugar and citric acid
- Fill the syrup hot in sterile glass bottles and close immediately
Store darkly and cool
This syrup is very sweet, so be careful with the mixing ratio !!!
